Jack Palatella
Partner
Palatella Builders Inc., now Palatella Saros, was founded in 1990 by Jack Palatella.
Jack's love of the construction industry occured at an early age as he was working his way through college.
After a stint in the U.S Air Force Security Service, he studied Chinese and Japanese, and earned master's degrees in education and psychology.
With degrees in hand, Jack was hired by Chase Manhattan Bank and was successful in the banking arena.
However, Jack's true satisfaction came with his cabinet making hobby. Demands for his products grew, and he began to investigate full-time employment in that field. Eventually, he expanded his expertise, building talented crews with extensive expertise.
Peter Saros
Partner
At the age of 26, Peter Saros had already completed his undergraduate degree, went to work for Schenck Trebel Corp., an international manufacturer of machinery testing equipment, became the Northeast sales manager and ultimately then opened his own business providing services to the commercial building industry.
Peter sold the business to his partner and joined PJ Mechanical, a premier NYC based mechanical contracting firm to start up a similar service division. He was later asked to oversee their key client’s services group and special projects division. In this position for more than six years, Peter was recruited by Johnson Controls, Inc., a Fortune 110 $20B service organization, as Global Director of Business Development for Commercial Real Estate within the specialized Corporate Client structure.
These experiences provided Peter with incredible market knowledge and practical business experiences that he leveraged to form Danube Development, a Long Island high end residential real estate development company.
